In cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin announces the tenth year of the

Charité Medical Residency Program 2025

Features of this program are:

  • Language course (14 months) classes at the Charité campus in Berlin with fellow doctors from KSA (knowledge of the German language is not required before arrival in Berlin)
  • Five to six years fully integrated further training according to the curriculum of the Berlin Medical Board leading to the Medical Specialist Certificate (in German: Facharzt) after passing the board exam
  • Becoming a full member of the medical team with regular review of training progress for each individual participant by the Medical Directorate of Charité
  • Full salary (equal to German doctors) incl. social security contributions and benefits
  • Assistance with all administrative procedures (visa, work and residence permit, etc.), accommodation, nursery etc.

For the upcoming rotation (starting in September 2025) we announce15 Training Positions (Leading to Full Specialization)

15 positions in total are available for the following specializations: anesthesiology, internal medicine, nephrology, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, hematology/oncology, vascular surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, radiology, radiation oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, nuclear medicine, physical and rehabilitative medicine, dermatology, forensic medicine, urology, psychiatry, pathology or neuropathology, transfusion medicine, and in addition three more positions from other medical specializations.

Requirements:

  • Citizenship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Graduation at a university in the KSA or another university abroad with excellent results
  • Scholarship from the Ministry of Education or a university

Please submit your CV, color copy of passport, requested field of specialization, bachelor’s degree, internship completion certificate, transcript incl. GPA, relevant reference letters (if applicable), and financial guarantee letter from your sponsor (not mandatory, only if available).
