Cooperating Physician / Medical Consultant

The German Embassy in Riyadh invites qualified medical professionals to apply for the position of Cooperating Physician / Medical Consultant on a contractual cooperation basis.

Scope of Cooperation

The Cooperating Physician will provide medical advisory and assessment services to the German Embassy as required. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:

• Medical consultation and advisory services for the Embassy

• Review and assessment of medical certificates and supporting medical documentation

• Conducting medical examinations for recruitment and employment purposes

• Fitness-for-duty and fitness-to-drive medical examinations

• Medical assessments in individual cases upon request of the Embassy

• Professional medical advice in accordance with applicable local and international medical standards

The services will be rendered on a case-by-case basis and do not constitute an employment relationship.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Medical degree as a General Practitioner or Specialist for Internal Medicine and full license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia

• Several years of professional clinical experience

• Proven ability to conduct medical assessments and examinations

• High professional integrity and strict adherence to medical confidentiality

• Good command of English; knowledge of German is an advantage

• Availability for cooperation on short notice when required

• Willingness to cooperate with a diplomatic mission and comply with its procedures

Remuneration

A salary can not be granted, however, remuneration for provided services.

• Brief letter of motivation outlining suitability for the role
