Advertisement of a vacancy in the Visa Section

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany announces the vacancy of the position of an employee in the Visa Section with expected effect of September 15, 2024 (full-time position).

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Receiving and processing of Schengen-visa applications (English/German)
• Customer service by e-mail, phone and in person (Arabic/English)
• Document verification and further research on provided documents
• Office assistance (printing, checking and sticking of Visa stickers)
• Archiving (archiving of visa files)

Requirements for the position are:

• Very good command of English and Arabic (both reading and writing), preferably native speaker in either language
• German knowledge (e.g. reading, understanding) is an advantage
• Intermediate or higher level education
• Comprehensive IT handling knowledge
• Previous work experience in an office environment is an advantage
• Friendly and customer-oriented behavior
• Social and communication skills, creativity and initiative as well as the ability to work in a team, willingness to work overtime in high season
